The Future is Bright for 'A Northern Light'

2014 is going to be a big year for Northern Irish music - I can feel it. But one highlight for this year, for me, is going to be the release of A Northern Light's stunning debut.

They are a band which hold a hell of a lot of potential and energy. They are one of the most exciting bands in our music scene at the moment. They carefully fuse their alt-rock roots with the odd bit of synth to create a sound similar to that of Angels and Airwaves, but the band work hard in pushing themselves to evolve their sound to be completely unique.

Tracks like 'Kill It' encourage the incessant act of fist pumping and the power to believe you can do just about anything if you put your mind to it - it's the song you need to file under the "I can do this" playlist on your iPod.

And don't even start on their live shows... I remember seeing them back in November and they were playing to about twenty kids and although emitting enough energy to fill a stadium, I fully believe they deserve to play to an audience fifty times the size.
